Sunway Pyramid Kuala Lumpur

Sunway Pyramid is an impressively-themed shopping centre in the Klang Valley. Located in Bandar Sunway, Subang Jaya, it is the only mall in Malaysia with an ice skating rink. Opened in 1997, the distinctive retail landmark is one of the largest shopping centres in the country. Whether you think it is tacky or sophisticated, it is one of Malaysia’s most elaborate malls, with an Egyptian-inspired giant sphinx standing guard at the entrance, a monumental pyramid-shaped main complex, pseudo-hieroglyphics decorating its exterior façade and numerous faux-Pharaoh statues. Filled with character, the mall’s anchor tenants are Giant, Jusco Supermarket and Parkson Grand but its real draw is its array of independent stores.
