Chicken Up Buangkok
The main draw at Chicken Up is the 12.5-hour marinated and double-fried, Korean fried chicken. Of the five flavour types, the signature offerings are the dry Spicy Up (the spice is in the batter, not the sauce it's coated with; four pieces for $18) and the Yangnyum (fried chicken slathered with a signature sweet and spicy sauce and topped with sesame seeds, four pieces for $20).
The wings aree top notch — or more specifically the Ganjang deep-fried chicken wings ($12) in non-spciy but delightfully umami special soya sauce blend. Fresh chicken is prepared upon order — no frozen or pre-cooked chooks served here.
